Problem
Our research and user data have revealed that most of the experience frictions and usability issues occur during the learning phases of the as-is journey map. Therefore, our team will be focusing on redesigning the experience during this stage, followed by performance evaluations

During our research we identified that users are often unable to find key pieces of information about programming and are frustrated by the current state of the registration process. Redesigning the program discovery will enable users to quickly identify programs of interest, find key details. Doing so will decrease the current friction experienced when attempting to evaluate TCCLD’s program offering, resulting in more registration.

Solution
Our research and user data have revealed that most of the experience frictions and usability issues occur during the learning phases of the as-is journey map. Therefore, our team will be focusing on redesigning the experience during this stage, followed by performance evaluations

Specifically, we will be developing two solutions for A/B testing as follows:

A program comparison feature
Users can digest multiple information in a single, easy-to-scan package. Comparison charts also allow users to highlight important variables (e.g., price, outcomes, schedules) so they can make informed decisions.
A preference guidance and screening quiz
Users can receive program recommendations based on their experiences and preferences. This was a solution proposed by TCCLD.

Result
  1. A high fidelity prototype of either
  2. Quiz/questionnaire that filters down program recommendations based on user input
  3. Program comparison function that displays selected programs in simplified matrix for clear view
  4. A list of supplementary design recommendations based on our usability testing findings and user data
